How Does it Work?
Using specialist products from SecoFLEX and Wethertex, we can create an exterior wall coating system that is entirely flexible – not what you’d usually expect from traditional paint! This flexible coating is waterproof with an elasticity that allows it to bridge cracks, scars and minor damage to existing masonry wall surfaces. Not only is it a long-lasting finish, but it can help prolong the lifetime of your home’s exterior without the need to spend additional money on expensive repairs.
Temperature Tolerant – Our specialist wall coating systems can handle temperatures as cold as -20C. The elasticity is a key part that helps it beat traditional external masonry paint, as this helps it withstand temperature fluctuations which causes regular paint to crack, peel and flake.
How is it Applied?
Preparation
As with all painting, preparation is the key to a finish that will stand the test of time. All surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned, with any mould treated with a fungicidal wash. Any holes and cracks are repaired where required.
Applying the Coating System
Application of the coating is most often carried out using a spray gun, but it can also be applied by brush and roller. The coating is applied at a pre-determined thickness, typically equivalent to more than five coats of traditional masonry paint.
Cleanup & Final Inspection
We’ll respect your property throughout, and finish the job by making sure it’s looking its best with no paint drips or overspray, or any debris left behind. When all is dry and complete, we’ll ask you to join us on a final walkthrough to ensure you are completely satisfied with the work.
